Get the date in your diary ladies... Sew Saturday takes place this year on Saturday 6th October. I will be popping along to Elizabeth Rose NI for a day of craft, demonstrations and talks. I will be holding free sewing demonstrations for the audience. The lovely Charlene has me pitched up against the clock with these three nifty challenges that you can take home a try yourselves!
There's the times and details:
11-11.30am Sew pyjama bottoms in 30 minutes
12-12.30pm Apply snaps to fabric
2.00pm-2.30pm sew a bag in 30 min
Hundreds of haberdasheries and craft shops all across the UK and Northern Ireland will join the event by holding their own stitchy celebration and inviting customers – both old and new – into their stores.

Our EXCLUSIVE unicorn mascot is going to go down a storm, with fabric pincushions for adults and felt versions for the kids… plus a magical block design for the quilters! Participating stores can also take advantage of our #SewSelfie printables, promotional material, and tips for contacting the local press.
What else is happening on the day?
Come along anytime between 10am to 4pm. There is no need to book and admission is free!
Children’s make and take workshop with Susan – bedroom bunting that is suitable for both boys and girls.

Knitted Knockers Charity Sew – We will be having the sewing machines out and welcome you all to come a help sew comfort cushions and drainbags which are free to breast cancer patients – a very worthy cause.
